From Brochure to Patio: How Long Does it Take to Install a Glass Room?

Since the Glasoase is a completely customised build, you’re likely to wonder how long it will take to design, manufacture and install one, and which processes are involved. Roché give you complete control over the project, ensuring minimal stress and inconvenience. Here’s a typical breakdown of how many of our customers spend their journey with us.

Weinor Glasoase Showroom

Step 1: Visit the Showroom

If you’re considering enhancing your property with a glass room you'll probably want to see an example of an installed design. The Roché showroom has a fully assembled Weinor glass room on display, providing an idea of how the finished structure will look.

This is also your opportunity to speak to a member of the team about the various options, and also receive a rough idea of cost based on your dimensions and requirements.

Step 2: Initial Survey

If you like the Glasoase we’ll arrange a free, no-obligation survey at a time which is convenient with you. Our surveyors visit addresses nationwide and we can usually arrange someone to visit your home within the next few days.

During this survey an experienced professional will take the accurate measurements we need for the design process. It also enables us to give you a more specific quotation.

Step 3: Room Design

We’ll prepare our technical design details, providing Weinor with everything they need to manufacture your glass room. As you can imagine it’s critical that these are as accurate as possible, so we may need to pay another short visit to your home to carry out a second survey. Small tasks like removing an outdoor light or relocating guttering will affect your installation, so we’ll need to make sure these tasks are all completed in time.

Once we have everything we need you’ll receive a confirmed quote in writing. We can also send you the technical details and a simple configuration of what the room will look like.

Step 4: Manufacture

This is carried out in Weinor’s purpose-built factory in Germany, and commonly takes 4 to 6 weeks. Our team will let you know as soon as it’s ready and get in touch to arrange a date for installation.

Glasoase Glass Room Installed

Step 5: Installation

Installation itself will only take around 3 days. If the weather is particularly bad it may take longer, because rain causes the glass to be slippery and unsafe for our installers. If electrical work needs to be carried out we can employ an electrician, or you may prefer to source a local one.

Step 6: After Sales Care

Once your glass room is installed it will be ready to use straight away. If you have any questions afterwards, or at any point in the future you’d like to discuss accessories or maintenance, our team are on hand to advise.

The entire process, from initial showroom visit to installation, can take as little as 8 weeks if there aren’t any complications. That’s significantly less than a standard conservatory takes, despite the finished effect being much more impressive. Call 01691 650600 to arrange a visit to our showroom and you could be enjoying your glass room by summer.
